The good electronics and the bad...
While the Active suspension can really improve the performance of the motorcycle as the BMW race ABS and the Kawasaki traction control, the safety features of the new motorcycles could make riding a motorcycle as easy and lazy as driving a car.
This may be a great thing for the motorcycle industry (creating more riders out of regular people and making riding more acceptable) but I just hope these things don't become standard as safety features have on cars (now the cars are starting to drive them selves).
While taking the driver out of the equation in a car and giving them less to control is a good thing because drivers have long become lazy and dangerous.
Making motorcycles with many electronic safety aids and convenience features could make riders lazy and not as aware because they will start to rely on the electronic safety features to do the work for them.
I fear for the future and how lazy and unskilled people will become...
Keep motorcycling pure and dangerous, isn't that suposed to be the appeal of riding anyways, a dangerous thrill that requires specific skills that not everyone can handle...being free braking out of the norm and flying by the pathetic people in their cages?
